KL Rahul and Jaydev Unadkat have been ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) with injuries. Both Rahul and Unadkat are part of the Lucknow Super Giants franchise with injuries coming on the same day in what is a massive blow. In KL Rahul’s absence, Krunal Pandya will lead the team. Rahul suffered a serious thigh injury during LSG’s last home game against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Lucknow. The injury could also rule him out of the World Test Championship (WTC) final scheduled for June 7 against Australia at The Oval. Rahul picked up the injury while sprinting towards the boundary to a Faf du Plessis cover drive off Marcus Stoinis bowling. On the other hand, Unadkat has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2023 due to a left-shoulder injury, which he picked up while training in the nets. Unadkat will be fit in time for the WTC final against Australia, starting on June 7 at The Oval.
