ED Raids RRR, Ponniyin Selvan’s Production House In Chennai

Enforcement Directorate (ED) sleuths on Tuesday conducted searches at the premises of production company LYCA -- the makers of Ponniyin Selvan I and II.

LYCA entertainment have recently made big movies like RRR, Pushpa and Ponniyin Selvan.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) started conducting searches at the premises of LYCA Productions, the producers of RRR, Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Ponniyin Selvan 2, after registering a money laundering case in Chennai on Tuesday, May 16.  

According to a report in Asianet, the ED conducted surprise raids at eight properties in Chennai owned by LYCA Productions. The raids are reportedly being carried out on the basis of a complaint accusing the production house of illegal money transfer.
 
The production house is yet to issue an official statement on the raids and accusations. More details are awaited on the raids.
