Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar Passes Away

Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar has died at the age of 67 on Friday, March 24.

Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, who was best known for directing films like Parineeta, Helicopter Eela, Mardaani and Laga Chunari Mein Daag has died at the age of 67 on Friday, March 24. 

Sarkar was on dialysis and his potassium levels had dropped drastically. 

Director Hansal Mehta shared the news on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Pradeep Sarkar. Dada. RIP (sic).”

Sarkar started his career as a filmmaker with brand commercials. He also directed several popular music videos before making a debut as a feature film director with 'Parineeta' in 2005.
