The Delhi Police has arrested at least four people and registered around 44 FIRs after posters including some seeking the ouster of PM Narendra Modi (‘Modi hatao, desh bachao’), were found pasted on walls and poles in several areas of the Capital. The arrested people also include owners of two printing press. More than 2,000 posters were removed from several places in Delhi. Delhi Police said that the arrests were made under the Printing Press Act and Defacement of Property Act as the posters did not have the name of the printing press. Police said that around 2,000 posters, which were allegedly being delivered to the AAP's office, were seized after a van was intercepted in the Central Delhi area. Meanwhile, the AAP, in a tweet in Hindi, questioned the FIRs and asked what was objectionable in the posters. The party also said that this was the “peak of Modi government's dictatorship”.
